What I have been watching

So, I watched Heaven Sent yesterday. Partly it was awesome because Peter Capaldi is awesome. This was basically an one man show, apart from dram!Clara and the boy in the end and I think he was brilliant. I didn't notice in the last episode, but I also love that his costume nods at Three again; this time in a purple velvet jacket. Also loved him “stopping time” and retreating into his own mind (which of course was inside the TARDIS), in dire moments. It seemed very him.
There were some odd things in the castle which didn’t made much sense, like the painting of Clara aging and the diamond wall being worn down, but everything else being renewed and the skulls mounting up on the seafloor when they ought to have reached the surface. But then he wasn’t in a real world where logical laws apply and I don’t think the Doctor really spent billions of years in there. And then he came out and was on Gallifrey. I wasn’t the least surprised over that. Time Lords- not very nice at all.
The hybrid thing, then. I know the movie launches the idea of the Doctor being half-human, and I hope they don’t resurrect that idea. It may very well be Me he means, she is a hybrid between Time Lord technology and human. But I’m thinking back to Into the Dalek when the Dalek says the Doctor is like a Dalek and I wonder if it’s only the mind of the Doctor it’s referring to and not a physical hybrid. he’s rather different from other Time Lords after all.
We have started to watch Jessica Jones and both husband and I are hooked. We have four episodes to go, so don’t spoil it for me, please. I think David Tennant's Kilgrave is the scariest villain I have ever watched. I know next to nothing about the Marvel universe, so I have absolutely no inkling on how this story will go (if they even follow the comics, of course), but I can’t wait to find out.
We also went to see Spectre last Sunday. I’m not a huge Bond-fan but both husband and the kid is and it was fun to see it on the big screen. I actually thought it was pretty good. I like Craig’s Bond and I also appreciated that the Italian widow wasn’t twenty-something, even if the main squeeze was.
We have also watched a british thriller called Unforgotten, which I can recommend. A skeleton is found in a cellar and a forty year old murder is revealed. It’s a six-parter and a lot of time is spent on the main suspects and their families, which I enjoyed.
